Bill Prokopchuk was born in 1925 in Rhein, Saskatchewan (approximately 35 km NE of Yorkton, SK.). He started playing the violin at a very young age and eventually became very versatile on his instrument. Bill could easily move through many different styles and genres, including: Traditional Ukrainian, Bluegrass, Country & Western, and Gypsy music.
1925 - 2003. Bill played Violin and recorded with Bill Prokopchuk and his Country Kings.
