PhotographsChurches

This parish was established in 1912. The church is located on the Victoria Trail in Northern Alberta.

At one time part of the busy ferry crossing at Eldorena, the structure is typical of the second 'open domed' stage of Byzantine rite churches that developed throughout the rural communities of the Canadian prairies.

Its construction is significant in that it is thought to include some of the earliest work undertaken by the noted Prairie Byzantine church architect Reverend Philip Ruh immediately after his arrival in Canada.

The interior furnishings (tabernacle, side altar icons, altar room icons) are recognizable as the work of Peter Lipinski.
